I started my new nonprofit before the holidays of 2014 and then got caught up in moving from the north valley of Abq to Bosque Farms. Occasionally, I got on my new Wix site and tried to add a blog or two but couldn't find a way to do it. Computer issues. Then I started looking at apps and found Blogger. I hope this works. A new year has begun and I am ready to start my business! As I've been moving and unable to do much work lately, I tried to keep in touch with what was happening in New Mexico education-wise. Interestingly, there are three superintendent searches that I've noticed -- in Los Alamos, Los Lunas, and Belen. I remember an old statistic that said supers last about 18 months in this state. I follow the search in Los Alamos by reading the LA Daily Post, an online newspaper. They seem to be looking for something different. Seems like maybe the whole community has become interested. They want a voice. I've seen some pretty compelling discussions regarding
